1. Riverge Akebono
Photo: Agoda hotel data feed; individual photographer unspecified / Agoda · Agoda Hotel Data File: hotel presentation · Original supplier file; no edits
Who it suits: Travelers spending the evening by the river
The official walking route starts at the west exit and passes Hapirin and the Katamachi intersection. Compare this property when the riverside evening matters more than an immediate station doorstep. Allow a separate return leg after collecting bags; verify the operator timetable before relying on a bus.
Consider another option when: Allow time to return for bags and walk back to the station. Compare station-front candidates if a very short transfer is your priority.

2. Route Inn Fukui Ekimae
Photo: Agoda hotel data feed; individual photographer unspecified / Agoda · Agoda Hotel Data File: hotel presentation · Original supplier file; no edits
Who it suits: Travelers wanting a short west-exit walk
The official guide gives a two-minute walk from the west exit. Check whether the 10:00 checkout suits your morning. Parking costs more on Saturdays and the eve of public holidays; the former EV charger has been removed, so do not book assuming charging is available.
Consider another option when: Do not rely on an EV charger. Check your parking-day price and the 10:00 checkout against your morning.

3. Hotel Keifuku Fukui Ekimae

Who it suits: Travelers arriving at the east exit or by highway bus
Follow the signs for the Ichijodani east exit after leaving the Shinkansen gates. The official guide lists a one-minute walk from that exit and from the east-side highway-bus arrival point. For a departure from the west-side bus stands, also account for crossing the station.
Consider another option when: For west-side bus stands, add time to cross the station from the east-side hotel.

4. Az Inn Fukui

Who it suits: Travelers comparing a Katamachi evening and included breakfast
The official site gives a twelve-minute station walk and a location at the Katamachi entrance junction. It lists complimentary breakfast and communal baths with saunas. If you will drop bags and immediately return to the station, allow more walking than for a station-front property.
Consider another option when: Repeated station trips with large bags need a comparison against the listed twelve-minute walk.

5. Hotel Fujita Fukui
Photo: Agoda hotel data feed; individual photographer unspecified / Agoda · Agoda Hotel Data File: hotel presentation · Original supplier file; no edits
Who it suits: Travelers balancing central-city time with an eight-minute station walk
The official guide gives an eight-minute station walk. Compare the central location against your need for a very short arrival leg. Some partner car parks close overnight and prevent access to the car or luggage, so check the specific opening hours before planning an early drive.
Consider another option when: Check the specific partner car park’s opening hours if you need your car or bags overnight.

Who it suits: Travelers comparing east-side access and group rooms
The address is Hinode 2-2-3; the official access section gives a three-minute station walk. Check occupancy and extra sofa-bed conditions for twin and family rooms. Bookings without contact by midnight may be cancelled, so notify the hotel of late arrival. Parking is limited and allocation conditions need checking.
Consider another option when: Notify the hotel before a late arrival. Booking a room does not secure limited parking.

Who it suits: Travelers comparing a city stay across the river and larger room layouts

Consider another option when: For quick station-side bag collection, compare the fifteen-minute walk and separate return leg.

Who it suits: Travelers comparing a tatami ryokan by the river in Hamamachi
At Chuo 3-8-16, the municipal listing gives a ten-minute station walk. The operator lists four tatami guest rooms separately from dining rooms. Check-in begins at 16:00 with final arrival 20:00, checkout 10:00 and a midnight curfew; compare these limits with late trains and evening outings.
Consider another option when: For arrival after 20:00 or return after midnight, confirm the operator’s entry conditions before booking.

Choose your arrival exit and final return route first
Route Inn is a starting point for a short west-exit walk; Keifuku and 9STAY are east-side candidates. For Riverge, Az Inn, Fujita and Kouroen, weigh a central-city evening against the return to the station. Across the river, asunowa needs a separate check against repeated bag collection. Hotel walking estimates do not guarantee time with luggage or traffic lights.
Allow a separate margin for your bus departure
Check the actual operator for the stop, operating day and final return service of any local or sightseeing transport. This article does not guarantee frequency or seats for tomorrow. If leaving bags after checkout, establish the collection deadline and the trip back to the hotel before choosing your onward departure.
Compare arrival deadlines before booking a late train
Kouroen lists check-in from 16:00, final arrival at 20:00 and a midnight curfew. 9STAY warns that bookings without contact by midnight may be cancelled. Econo has a 24-hour desk but asks for contact if arrival changes by more than 30 minutes. Send the actual expected arrival time to every property instead of assuming overnight access.
Recheck beds, parking and cancellation in the actual product
Photos are supplier room examples; the match to your booked category and final arrangement is unconfirmed. Compare Kouroen tatami rooms, separate living space at asunowa and 9STAY family rooms using actual bedding and occupancy terms. Check vehicle restrictions such as Fujita parking closures and the removed Route Inn charger. Distinguish direct-booking cancellation rules from the terms of the supplier product.

Common questions
Are all ten hotels right beside the station?
No. The list combines short approaches on either side with city and riverside stays. Asunowa gives a fifteen-minute station walk; plan its return leg before a bus or train departure.
Can every hotel store bags after checkout?
This is not guaranteed across the list. Econo lists before-check-in and after-checkout storage; Nono limits post-checkout storage to the same day. Ask each hotel about size, hours, costs and the final collection time.
Do Kouroen direct-booking cancellation rules apply to the booking button?
Do not assume so. Read the cancellation deadline and charges shown for your chosen dates, room and rate through the individual booking button.
