Choose the gallery and visit date before the ticket. Listed gallery coverage does not override closures, and a special-exhibition product must explicitly include the display you want.

Choose the gallery before the price
General admission covers thematic Galleries 1–7; the current jewellery product covers Gallery 8 plus thematic galleries. Adult regular/Flex prices are HK$70/90 general and HK$150/180 jewellery. Flex permits one admission within the specified month; general regular tickets specify a date and time.
Coverage does not override a closure
Checked October 6: Gallery 2 is closed from August 14 and Gallery 9 from September 1 until further notice. Jewellery ends October 19; Gallery 8 closes from October 20. The FAQ broadly mentions special Galleries 8 and 9, but current product details and closure notices do not promise access to both.
Prepare eligibility evidence individually
Ages six and under enter free; ages 7–11, full-time students and seniors 60+ qualify for concessions. Regular/Flex concession prices are HK$35/45 general and HK$75/90 jewellery. The FAQ accepts listed overseas student or travel documents. Accompaniment wording differs: the visit page says under 12, the FAQ 12 and under. Confirm age-12 arrangements and plan adult accompaniment.
Check date-specific hours
Normally closed Tuesdays except public holidays, the museum exceptionally opens October 6, 2026 from 10 am–6 pm and October 7 from 10 am–8 pm. Normal Monday/Wednesday/Thursday/Sunday hours are 10 am–6 pm, Friday/Saturday/public holidays 10 am–8 pm. Ground-floor ticketing closes one hour earlier. Recheck your date.
Plan luggage and reentry before leaving
Both regular and Flex tickets are single-admission products. General terms leave reentry to venue discretion; ask staff before leaving for lunch. Bags exceeding 55 × 35 × 20 cm are prohibited, so arrange suitcase storage separately. Routine cancellation/refund after purchase is restricted, with cancellation, rescheduling or material-change exceptions subject to seller procedures.
