Decide whether you want a short ride through Hong Kong Island or a sightseeing tour with commentary. Regular tram transport fares and the date-specific TramOramic tour have different prices and boarding arrangements.

Separate transport from a commentary experience

A regular tram lets you travel to a destination while watching the street scenery. There are several service sections between Kennedy Town and Shau Kei Wan; read the tram’s destination instead of assuming every service runs the entire route. TramOramic sightseeing tours depart from Western Market and Causeway Bay and advertise commentary in 16 languages, including Korean. Choose according to whether you want one transport leg or time dedicated to commentary.

Pay the regular fare when you get off

The source-reviewed regular fares are HK$3.30 for adults, HK$1.60 for ages 3 to under 12, and HK$1.50 for ages 65 and over. Pay at the front exit using Octopus, cash or an electronic payment method listed by the operator. Cash payments receive no change, so prepare the exact amount. Count each separate boarding if your itinerary involves getting off and riding again.

Check tour ages and the regular-tram benefit

The TramOramic official FAQ lists adults at HK$180 and ages 4–11 at HK$110. Children under 4 travel free when accompanied by an adult and not occupying a separate seat. The included Golden Ticket allows regular-tram use on or before its printed date. Do not interpret this as an unconditional two-day unlimited pass; check the validity date on the ticket you receive.

Read change rules and check conditions on the day

The official tour FAQ states that cancellation and refunds are unavailable, and change requests must be made at least one business day ahead. Read this before placing a tour immediately after a flight arrival whose timing could shift. On the day, check operating notices, weather and the departure stop. A regular-tram boarding stop and the tour meeting point should not be assumed to be identical.

Common questions

Does the HK$3.30 regular fare include the commentary tour?

No. TramOramic is a separate product with its own booked-tour fare and departure conditions.

Does the sightseeing ticket always give two days of regular-tram travel?

The official FAQ describes the Golden Ticket as valid on or before its printed date. Plan around the date conditions on your actual ticket.
