An interval ticket and garden-inclusive admission have different coverage. Choose your visit purpose before checking the final downhill service.

Check whether your ticket includes garden entry

Regular garden-inclusive adult tickets cost 2,500 yen return or 1,900 yen one way. Elementary and junior-high pupils pay 1,250 or 950 yen; preschool children are free. The bottom–mid-station one-way interval ticket costs 1,700 yen for adults or 850 yen for children and excludes garden entry.

Check evening dates and open areas

The dated Japanese autumn schedule for 4 September–6 November 2026 ends uphill service at 16:45 and downhill at 17:15 on weekdays; weekends and holidays run until 20:15 uphill and 21:00 downhill. Normal autumn evening access after 17:00 covers the observatory area. Evening return tickets, sold after 17:00, cost 2,000 yen for adults or 1,200 yen for children. Summer and Christmas have no evening-rate category; Christmas has special prices.

Online purchase does not remove the boarding queue

The operator recommends online tickets to simplify the ticket-floor process but says visitors still queue for boarding on the first floor. Garden-entry deadlines differ from the last uphill and downhill services. Check the date-specific notice and leave time before a meal or onward train.

Plan for slopes and weather

The bottom-to-top ride takes about ten minutes, excluding queues. The garden has downhill and steep sections; ask the information desk about assistance if needed. Strong wind or lightning can suspend operation. You cannot drive directly to the garden, and there is no dedicated general car park.
