Start with your departure exit and luggage collection point
Compare station-area Richmond and GRIDS, or the walk north to Super Hotel; check Global View’s Nishidori address for a west-side base. For Chuo-dori and Saien hotels, balance city time against your return to the station. A station-related name does not imply the same exit. Check the route from the actual address to your chosen exit, allowing for crossings and large bags. Ask the booked hotel about same-day luggage storage and collection times rather than assuming it is available everywhere.
Read occupancy and room names separately from bed width
Pearl’s wide single and Ace’s annex comfort room are officially listed for one guest. Two travellers can compare the twin conditions at Carina, Dormy Inn and Grand Annex, or verify double-room occupancy at Super, Richmond and GRIDS. Listed twin bed widths differ:98 cm at Carina,110 cm at the Annex, and 120 cm at Dormy Inn and Royal. Royal’s third-bed setup exists only in some rooms, while GRIDS queen and standard-double areas differ. Match children, total occupancy and installed beds to the booking.
Combine city time, arrival hours and parking conditions
Carina lists 14:00 check-in and 10:00 check-out; Super and the Annex list 15:00/10:00; Royal lists 15:00/11:00. Royal’s final check-in is 24:00, so confirm late train arrivals ahead. Do not infer late-arrival rules for the other hotels. The Chuo-dori Annex is separate from the hilltop Grand Hotel; Ace’s main building and annex also need distinguishing. A room reservation does not secure parking. Check location, vehicle limits, interim exits and charges after check-out.
Include lodging tax and read photos as room examples
Morioka City lists a lodging tax of 200 JPY per person per night from 1 October 2026, collected by lodging operators. Check whether your booking includes it or requires separate payment at the hotel, and compare room, meals and tax on the same basis. Rates and availability vary with date and occupancy. Supplier photos show room-interior examples; the room type, view and bed count in your selected booking are unverified. Global View changed from HOTEL JIN in March 2026, and fixtures vary; its picture cannot establish a bathroom configuration. Match the current official address against the booking confirmation rather than relying on an older feed address.
Before you book
- Match the current hotel name, address and building to the confirmation.
- Check the route to your station exit and allow luggage collection time.
- Match occupancy including children, installed beds, widths and smoking policy.
- Confirm late-arrival contact, check-in/out and same-day luggage storage.
- Check parking location, vehicle limits, interim exits and later charges.
- Compare identical dates, guests, meals, tax-inclusive totals and cancellation terms.
Common questions
Should I stay near the station or in the city centre?
Start with departure transport and luggage collection. For an early train, compare the actual route to your station exit. For city dining and sightseeing, compare Chuo-dori and Saien bases while allowing time to return to the station.
Does a double bed mean two people can book the room?
Bed width does not establish capacity. Ace’s annex comfort room and Pearl’s wide single are officially listed for one. Check permitted occupancy including children, plus bed count in the selected plan.
Are the pictured room and free parking guaranteed?
The picture’s match to your booked room is unverified, and Global View fixtures may vary. Parking is separate from room booking; Royal directs guests to nearby facilities. Verify room name, smoking policy, beds and parking terms.
How should I budget lodging tax?
The city lists 200 JPY per person per night from 1 October 2026. Check included-tax labels and separate hotel payment in the selected plan. For special circumstances, consult the city’s official guidance.
