Choose your return base first: JR Shimonoseki or Karato/Dannoura. Compare city-hotel beds and washing facilities, ryokan toilet/bath arrangements, and private-house stairs, self-check-in and living space. Shin-Shimonoseki’s shinkansen station and outlying hot-spring/coastal resorts are different bases.
