Keep the airport and station names distinct
Taoyuan Airport is TPE; it is not Taipei Songshan Airport. The airport MRT identifies Terminal 1 as A12, Terminal 2 as A13 and Taipei Main as A1. Check whether you are boarding an express or commuter service, and use the official timetable for the travel date rather than an old blog’s last-train time.

Taipei Main still requires a final route
A hotel described as “near Taipei Main” is not necessarily next to the airport MRT platform. Check the hotel’s preferred exit and the walking route. For Ximending or Zhongshan, add the city connection and another ticket if needed. With large bags, compare lift access and the underground walk as carefully as the rail portion.
Compare a bus or car using the actual destination
For buses, look at the operating stop list and terminal boarding instructions. For a pickup, match the hotel name with its address and enter the flight number and terminal. Compare the quote for all passengers and bags, including any child-seat requirement. Save the meeting point and contact method before landing in case mobile data is not yet working.
