Choose the city stop before buying your airport bus ticket. An onward JR journey from Hiroshima Station and a hotel walk from the Bus Center are different final legs, even when the bus fare is the same.

Who this guide is for: Airport arrivals choosing a Hiroshima hotel connection or onward JR journey
Compare the Shinkansen-side station stop for JR connections or a nearby hotel, and the Bus Center for accommodation easier to reach from there. Ordinary seats are unreserved; remaining in a wheelchair requires advance telephone arrangements on the station route.
Compare at a glance
| Option | Best fit | Check before booking |
|---|---|---|
| Hiroshima Station Shinkansen Gate | Adults ¥1,500; children ¥750 one way | Airport platform 2; city departure platform 5 |
| Hiroshima Bus Center | Adults ¥1,500; children ¥750 one way | Airport platform 1; city departure platform 2 |
| Estimated journey | Station 45–50 minutes; Bus Center 55 minutes | Road conditions and flight arrivals can change timing |
| Wheelchair seating | Advance phone booking on the station route only | Confirm vehicle; book by 17:45 the previous day |
Include the journey after you get off
For a Shinkansen or JR connection, map the walk from the bus arrival to your next platform. Official guidance places the Bus Center on the third floor of Sogo Hiroshima. Compare both stops with the hotel entrance, lifts and walking with bags. The airport lists platform 2 for the station and 1 for the Bus Center; city departures use station Shinkansen-side platform 5 and Bus Center platform 2. Follow any current changes shown at the stop.
The same fare does not mean the same route
Both destinations cost ¥1,500 for adults and ¥750 for children one way in the checked guidance. Airport estimates are 45–50 minutes to the station and 55 minutes to the Bus Center. The timetable read applies October 1–24, 2026. Some Bus Center services run via the station’s Shinkansen side without stopping at Nakasuji. Read your departure’s destination and notes; estimated arrival is not a guaranteed appointment time.
Buying a ticket does not reserve an ordinary seat
The operator describes all ordinary seats as unreserved. A full bus can mean waiting for the next departure. MOBIRY TRAVEL tickets should be activated when boarding; the active screen displays for five minutes. That digital product can be started within 90 days of purchase, with a ¥100 refund fee for unused tickets still within the activation deadline. Do not extend its terms to another purchase channel.
Arrange wheelchair travel on the station route first
Elevator- or lift-equipped vehicles are listed on the station Shinkansen-side route, not the Bus Center route. Book by telephone from one month ahead until 17:45 on the previous day, and confirm the actual vehicle, seat and wheelchair conditions. Maintenance can substitute an ordinary vehicle. Booked users must reach the stop 15 minutes before departure; ordinary unreserved-seat instructions do not replace these arrangements.
Allow for a full bus and road delays on your return
Airport departures can be adjusted for flight arrivals, while congestion or road closures can delay or suspend service. Work backward from your airline’s check-in deadline and leave time to wait for another bus. Keep power banks with you rather than in the luggage compartment. Prepare a supported payment method; when paying by contactless card for several passengers or a child, tell the driver first.

Common questions
Does an advance ticket reserve my seat?
Ordinary seating is unreserved, and a full bus may require the next departure. Travel while remaining in a wheelchair follows the station-route telephone-booking exception.
Do all Bus Center services stop at Nakasuji?
No. The current timetable includes departures via Hiroshima Station’s Shinkansen side without a Nakasuji stop. Read the notes for your particular bus.
Which destination has a cheaper fare?
Both checked adult single fares are ¥1,500. Add the onward city fare and hotel walk before comparing.
