Temple admission does not include the Kannon Museum. Plan the two fees separately, then check temple last entry, the time you must leave and the museum’s own closures.

Budget separately for the museum
The temple’s published ordinary admission is ¥400 for adults and ¥200 for elementary-school pupils. The museum’s fee revision, effective 1 April 2025, sets admission at ¥500 for junior-high-school age and older and ¥200 for elementary-school pupils, with temple admission payable separately. An ordinary adult visiting both pays 400+500=¥900; an elementary pupil pays 200+200=¥400. These are arithmetic totals, not discounted combined tickets. Check eligibility and evidence separately for any exemption or discount.
Distinguish last entry from closing
Normal temple admission runs 08:00–16:30, with the grounds closing at 17:00. From April through June, last entry is 17:00 and closing 17:30. Arriving at the cutoff does not provide a full visit. Allow time to buy admission, explore and leave. Follow any travel-date special-operation or severe-weather notice.
Check museum closures and superseded English prices
The museum says it is normally open daily but may close temporarily for exhibition changes or equipment inspections. The 19–21 October closure has passed, so do not present it as current; check the calendar for your visit date. The linked older English PDF’s ¥300/¥150 prices predate the 2025 revision and should not be used for a current budget. Confirm the museum’s travel-date closures and last admission separately; do not assume it remains available until temple closing.
Use evening hours only for the announced dates
The notice dated 17 October 2026 schedules evening visits for 21 November–6 December. Opening is from sunset; the gate closes at 19:00 and the grounds at 19:30. Admission is ¥400 for adults and ¥200 for elementary-school pupils. Rain alone does not cancel the event, but severe weather or other circumstances may do so; tripods cannot be used on paths. A possible extension depending on foliage is not a confirmed extra date. These are not year-round hours or a promise of evening museum access.
Add the station walk and car-park exit cutoff
The temple gives an approximately 5-minute walk from Enoden Hase Station. If arriving via Kamakura, include the train wait and walk before temple last entry. The official car park normally operates 08:00–16:30, until 17:00 in April–June; vehicles cannot leave after closure until the following morning. Check parking separately before driving to an evening event rather than assuming an extension. The no-reservations statement about parking does not establish booking rules for every visitor programme.
Treat the photograph as a historical exterior
Bernard Gagnon photographed the Kannon hall and courtyard on 1 April 2008. The spring image does not show the current ticket counter, museum interior or night illumination. It introduces the destination without establishing present blossom or autumn conditions. Reopen current temple and museum notices before travelling to check fees, closures and entry times.

Common questions
Does the ¥400 temple ticket include the museum?
No. Museum admission is additional. An ordinary adult budgets ¥400 for the temple plus ¥500 for the museum.
Does the museum stay open until 19:30 during evening visits?
The temple’s evening notice does not guarantee extended museum hours. Check the museum calendar for your visit date.
Why does the English museum PDF say ¥300?
The official revision effective 1 April 2025 sets adult admission at ¥500 and elementary-school admission at ¥200, plus temple admission. Do not use the older PDF’s prices as current fees.
