Regular Kobe Maritime Museum admission includes Kawasaki World inside the building. Rather than budgeting two regular indoor tickets, check the special exhibition and the current conditions for the attractions you want to use.

Who this guide is for: Meriken Park visitors combining maritime displays with Kawasaki transport and technology exhibits

Start with JPY 900 for adults or 400 for primary through high-school students, then check any special-exhibition charge. The nearby Port Tower is a separate attraction. A visit focused on a particular activity needs its current participation conditions checked.

Check what regular admission includes

The official table lists adults at JPY 900 and primary, junior-high and high-school students at JPY 400, including Kawasaki World. Preschool children enter free. Do not assume that a separately advertised special exhibition is automatically included: check its own price.

Student exemptions have local eligibility rules

Free admission for high-school students resident in Kobe or attending a high school in the city requires the specified student and address evidence. The exemption for residents aged 65 and over also requires proof. These rules do not make every visiting student or older tourist eligible; check your qualification and documents or budget the regular tariff. Special exhibitions remain separate.

Use the renewal notice rather than an older closure notice

A 16 September 2026 Kawasaki World notice announces the 25 September renewal, covering the history zone, theatre visuals and lighting, an aircraft-model balance activity and a refreshed flight simulator. The older August removal notice alone does not establish an ongoing closure. Equally, the renewal announcement does not guarantee access to every activity on your day: confirm current operation and participation requirements for the one you want.

Work back from indoor last entry

The current Kawasaki World site introduces a real Series 0 Shinkansen leading car with cab and passenger-compartment experiences, plus a motorcycle corner whose displayed vehicles change. These facilities are inside the maritime museum. Normal hours are 10:00–18:00, last entry 17:30. Mondays are closed, with the next weekday closed when Monday is a public holiday. Check year-end and special-day notices, and separate an evening waterfront walk from the indoor entry deadline.

Common questions

Is this the same ticket as Kobe Port Tower?

The regular admission discussed here covers the maritime museum and Kawasaki World inside it. The nearby Port Tower observation floors and rooftop are separate; check that attraction’s ticket.

Does the photo show the current interior?

The photograph records the exterior on 8 April 2018. It does not establish interior exhibits or attraction operation after the 2026 renewal.
