Check whether everyone can use stairs before buying the rooftop option. Indoor observation and rooftop access differ; a timed ticket specifies when to enter.

Who this guide is for: Families and travellers visiting with older parents
Choose indoor observation for the enclosed view. Consider the rooftop add-on when stairs suit your group. Store luggage and plan lower-floor meals before entering.

Compare the two regular tickets
For high-school students and older visitors, observation costs ¥1,000 or ¥1,200 with the rooftop. Elementary and junior-high students pay ¥400 or ¥500. Preschool children enter free. These are regular prices, separate from special discounts and café-seat products.
The slot specifies entry time
Ordinary same-day tickets depend on remaining slots. The slot ending does not require immediate departure. Normal observation hours are 09:00–23:00, with final admission 22:30; check maintenance and private-event exceptions and allow time before closing.
Choose the 65+ ticket before paying
The Japanese ticket page and FAQ allow designated special tickets online or on site with identification. A regular ticket cannot receive the discount retrospectively. Customer-requested changes and cancellation are unavailable after confirmation; settle the ticket type and date first.
Indoor assistance does not extend to the roof
Movement between indoor observation floors normally uses stairs. Ask staff before ascending if you need elevator assistance. The rooftop is reached only by stairs from observation 5F and cannot admit wheelchair users. A request for indoor assistance is not guaranteed rooftop access.
Store luggage and plan meals first
Strollers and large suitcases cannot enter the observation floors or rooftop. Paid 1F lockers have limited capacity; staff cannot hold overflow luggage. Consider hotel or station storage first. After descending to the lower floors, you cannot re-enter observation.
Weather can change rooftop access
Rain or strong wind may close the roof without notice. The FAQ also permits some rainy-day visits without umbrellas, so rain does not always mean closure. For refunds after closure, ask 1F information; this is not a promise of automatic repayment or access.
