Choose whether you will enter Kobuntei before buying. Main-garden admission and building admission are separate; plum-festival prices and early-morning entry have different conditions.

Choose the admission areas

Outside the plum festival, regular main-garden admission is¥320 for adults and¥160 for children; during the festival it is¥500 and¥250. Kobuntei admission is separately¥230 and¥120. An adult paying both regular fees totals¥550 outside the festival or¥730 during it. Check concessions and what the selected ticket includes. The main garden defines children as compulsory-school pupils and adults as those aged 15 or over excluding those pupils.

Separate early entry from building admission

Outside the plum festival, main-garden entry is free from opening until 09:00. Ibaraki residents also have an off-festival exemption with original proof of address. These garden conditions do not automatically include Kobuntei. Keep your same-day ticket for re-entry.

Use the building entry cutoff

Winter hours from 1 October are 07:00–18:00 for the main garden and 09:00–16:30 for Kobuntei, with last building entry at 16:15. Kobuntei closes 29–31 December. Event hours can differ; check your visit date. Park areas outside the main garden are listed as continuously open, with different admission boundaries.

Match parking to the usable gate

The official guide lists about 250 m from Kairakuenshita parking to the East Gate ticket point. From Sakurayama parking, check access to the Front Gate outside the plum festival: Togyokusen is exit-only then. Wheelchair entry into Kobuntei is restricted; cane users are directed to the supplied floor-protection canes. Check garden and building routes separately.
