Buses labelled for Nagasaki Station can use different airport platforms and city stops. Choose between Shinchi Chinatown and the Urakami–Peace Park corridor, then find the terminal departure for your return flight.

Who this guide is for: Arrivals choosing a Nagasaki city stop and a station departure back to the airport

Dejima Road services leave airport platform 5; Urakami services use platform 4. Map the stop nearest your accommodation, then check the station-front terminal and the timetable valid on your return date.

Distinguish the two station arrival locations

The prefectural operator lists the traffic plaza for Dejima Road arrivals and the terminal for arrivals via Urakami. Map your walk to the accommodation from the correct stop. For Peace Park or Urakami Station, inspect the platform 4 route; for Shinchi Chinatown or Ohato, compare platform 5 via Dejima Road.

Return from inside the terminal

The operator says airport-bound boarding at Nagasaki Station is inside the bus terminal. Do not simply wait at the traffic plaza where your inbound bus dropped you. Locate the terminal entrance beforehand; if leaving from another city stop, separately check its airport-bound stop.

Do not plan an Edomachi drop-off

From 1 April 2026, airport-origin services via Dejima Road no longer stop at Edomachi. The notice lists Shinchi Chinatown, Chuo-bashi, a pass through Edomachi, Ohato, Goto-machi and Nagasaki Station. If an older hotel instruction names Edomachi, remap the walk from a current stop. Do not extrapolate this directional change to every stop on the return route.

Prepare fare, transport IC and boarding order

The airport–central Nagasaki fare is JPY 1,400 adult or 700 child, one way. The prefectural operator states no seat reservation, boarding in queue order and payment on alighting, with nationwide interoperable transport IC including nimoca, Suica, PASMO and ICOCA. This does not establish bank-card contactless travel. If you need a receipt, first check the airport or terminal ticket machine’s receipt option.

Use the timetable for your date and name your luggage stop

The operator currently lists 1–24 October and 25 October–30 November tables together. Choose by travel date rather than copying a departure into a different timetable period. Check road delays and possible changes linked to airline schedules, and leave time for airport formalities. When putting luggage in the hold at the airport, tell the crew your alighting stop and ask if you need help unloading.
