Decide whether your tram rides fit one date or continue into the next morning. Paper tickets, screen-based apps and Pass Case use different boarding procedures.

Calendar day and rolling 24 hours differ

A one-day pass covers the date of use; a 24-hour pass runs from activation. Starting at 16:00 and ending at 16:00 the next day is an illustration of validity, not overnight tram service. List your actual first and last rides and check operating hours.

Buy paper tickets before boarding

Paper one-day passes are not sold onboard. Buy ahead at tourist information, operator offices or participating hotels; non-guests should check hotel stock. Show the printed date on exit. Each person needs their own pass; sharing is prohibited.

Most apps use a screen, not a reader

The operator lists Jorudan, RYDE PASS, STLOCAL, my route and Pass Case. Except for Pass Case, show the ticket screen to the driver when exiting without touching the fare device. Finish installation and purchase before boarding. If you cannot show a completed ticket on exit, the ordinary fare is charged.

Pass Case uses the same purchase medium

Tap the card or iPhone used for purchase on boarding and alighting. A physical-card purchase cannot switch to that card’s Apple Pay version. The verified one-day product costs ¥600 for adults and has no child fare. One account/card cannot carry a group.

Check child fares and coupon validity separately

Elementary-school children and younger travel free on the third Sunday each month, according to the operator. Check the date before buying a child pass. Jorudan one-day coupons last the boarding date and next day; its 24-hour-pass coupons last the boarding date. Other apps may differ.

Read your purchase channel’s refund rules

Paper-ticket mistaken purchases can be refunded at operator offices through the previous day for ¥50 per ticket. The Pass Case one-day product allows cancellation before use on the selected date for ¥50; date changes close the previous day. Do not apply these terms to Jorudan or other apps.
