If you plan to leave for lunch or collect luggage and return, get a hand stamp before exiting. Decide whether an ordinary advance ticket or checking discount eligibility at the aquarium suits your party.

Choose an ordinary ticket or check eligibility first

Ordinary admission is ¥1,500 for high-school students and older, ¥600 for elementary and junior-high students, and ¥200 for preschool children aged four or older. Children aged three and under enter free. Convenience-store tickets remain valid for two months from purchase and cover ordinary rates only. Check official eligibility and proof requirements before paying if you may qualify for a discount.

Get the stamp before leaving for lunch

Re-entry is limited to the same day. Staff stamp the back of your hand near the exit and check it when you return. Have each person complete the procedure and ask staff about the return deadline before leaving. This does not include admission on the following day.

The restaurant and shop have different access rules

You must enter the aquarium to use its restaurant; it is not accessible solely for dining without admission. The museum shop is in the free area. If you choose lunch outside, allow enough time to return and complete your visit.

Bring cash for baggage storage

Small lockers cost ¥100 per use and medium lockers ¥200. Bags too large for a locker can be left at the reception counter for ¥300 per use; frozen or refrigerated items are not accepted. These storage services accept cash only. Check space and suitability for your actual bag on arrival.

Check opening notices and the photograph date

Usual hours are 09:00–17:00, with ticket sales ending at 16:30. Check official notices for year-end and March closures and seasonal changes. The photograph shows penguins on 2 May 2016; it does not establish current animals, facility conditions or the re-entry location.
