Arriving at Numazu Station is not arriving at the aquarium entrance. Allow for the port transfer and counter ticketing, then recheck your visit date’s opening change and final admission.

Plan around counter purchase
The official FAQ says advance tickets are not sold and lists cash, credit cards and PayPay for admission. This guide’s button opens ordinary operator information. For a third-party product, separately check included facilities, exchange requirements and refunds.
Read age bands and discount requirements
Regular admission is ¥2, 200 for high-school age and above, ¥1, 200 for primary/junior-high students and ¥600 for children aged four and above. Visitors aged 65+ receive ¥200 off with proof; a disability-certificate tariff is listed separately. Discounts cannot be combined. Ask the counter about required evidence and accompanying guests.
Do not apply a 10:00 opening to every date
Regular hours are 10:00–18:00, with final admission 17:30. The October 6, 2026 notice lists 09:00 opening on October 12;09:30 on November 1, 3 and 21; and 09:00 on November 22–23. These are opening changes, not confirmation of extended closing. Recheck your day’s homepage and latest notice.
Add the journey from station to port
The operator describes an approximately 15-minute bus trip from Numazu Station’s south side to Numazu Port. Its taxi estimate is about 5–10 minutes; travel times depend on traffic. Add waiting and the walk after the bus, and check a return service for a late visit. The aquarium has no dedicated parking or parking discount of its own.
Plan bags and meals before entering
The official FAQ says there are no lockers inside; paid coin lockers are at the port tourist-information corner. Confirm size, availability and access hours. Eating inside is discouraged. Ask about any re-entry plan rather than assuming you can leave for food and return without another ticket.
Separate a historical exterior from today’s exhibits
The photograph shows the real building on August 16, 2020; it does not confirm today’s entrance, queue or displays. The homepage accessed on October 12, 2026 says flapjack octopuses are currently not on display. If a particular animal is your reason to visit, ask the operator about current availability.
