Choose a return ride, shrine admission or the museum as well. The ropeway leaves steps to climb, and a December maintenance closure is planned.

School categories change with ticket type

Ordinary return fares are ¥1,250 for junior-high pupils and older, or ¥630 for ages four through elementary school. Bundles separate high-school-and-older, junior-high and elementary pupils.

Choose shrine admission or add the museum

The two-item bundle includes a return ride and shrine admission; the three-item bundle adds the museum. The operator explicitly says unused shrine or museum entry is not refunded for the three-item bundle. Check cancellation terms separately for the two-item bundle or external sellers, and ask about preschool bundle eligibility.

The ropeway still leaves stairs

About 80 steps remain to the shrine buildings. If unsure, the operator suggests buying ride-only tickets and deciding on shrine admission on arrival. You cannot walk between Nihondaira and Kunozan. The 1,159-step coastal approach is a separate route.

Check the December closure

Equipment work is scheduled to suspend the ropeway from 1 through 21 December 2026. The shrine remains accessible via the coastal stairs, a different journey. Check the operating notice before departure and leave a margin for the return service.
