The buses for Yonago Station and Matsue have different destinations and fares. Kaike services are also flight-specific. Match your arrival flight and date before choosing a timetable.

Who this guide is for: Arriving passengers choosing Yonago Station, Kaike Onsen or Matsue and planning their airport return
Distinguish the ¥640 Yonago airport bus from the ¥1,200 Matsue service. Check the Seoul-linked Kaike service’s operating days and airport stand 7/Yonago north-exit stand 7; Matsue uses airport stand 4 and JR Matsue stand 9 with its own payment rules.
Compare at a glance
| Option | Best fit | Check before booking |
|---|---|---|
| Yonago Station airport bus | ¥640 | Separate domestic connections from the Kaike service |
| Nonstop JR Matsue | Adults ¥1,200; children ¥600 | Airport stand 4; Matsue stand 9; no reservations and possible full bus |
| Seoul-linked Kaike service | Kaike ¥500; Yonago Station ¥640 | Mon/Wed/Thu/Fri/Sun timetable; airport stand 7; cash is the basic payment method |
Choose the destination and service first
The airport lists the Yonago Station airport bus at ¥640 and the separate local bus at ¥600. Nonstop JR Matsue is listed at ¥1,200 and approximately 45 minutes. Seoul- and Taiwan-linked Kaike services appear separately: a Yonago Station destination alone does not identify the route. Choose a station-area or Kaike coastal destination, then confirm the exact stop and hotel access. Do not treat ¥600 as the fare for every airport bus.
Match the Seoul service’s days and stand 7
Hinomaru’s current timetable lists the Seoul service Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Sunday from 1 October through 25 December 2026; its 26 December–27 March 2027 table changes to daily operation. The airport-linked Seoul PDF shows airport stand 7, JR Yonago north-exit stand 7 and Kaike stops. Yonago Station is ¥640/child ¥320; Kaike is ¥500/child ¥250. Cash is described as the basic payment method. A cancelled flight means no service, and a full bus may prevent boarding. Do not transfer these conditions to Taiwan or other international flights.
Matsue is a nonstop service without reservations
The Matsue operator does not accept seat reservations and warns that a full bus may prevent boarding. The airport–JR Matsue service is nonstop in either direction, without intermediate boarding or alighting. Airport departures follow staff instructions after arrival and baggage collection are confirmed; an early aircraft arrival still waits until the scheduled bus time. Connections at the destination station are not guaranteed, so leave a buffer.
Match return stops and timetable dates
The checked Matsue PDFs identify airport stand 4 outside the domestic-arrivals entrance and JR Matsue stand 9. Matsue uses the same stop for boarding and alighting, but other destinations also use it: check the airport destination on the bus. Separate timetables apply through 24 October 2026 and from 25 October 2026–27 March 2027. Yonago’s domestic-flight connections also change on 25 October. Recheck your flight and both directions; do not confuse the Seoul service’s stand 7 with Matsue stand 9.
Separate ticket-machine IC payment from onboard payment
For Matsue, buy a ticket at the airport arrivals-lobby machine or use the operator’s listed onboard cash, digital ticket or credit-card contactless payment. The machine’s transport-IC list includes Suica and ICOCA but excludes PiTaPa. Machine ticket purchase does not establish onboard transport-IC acceptance. Keep Matsue’s payment options separate from the Seoul-linked Kaike PDF’s basic cash instruction.
Check flight changes, luggage and the historical photograph
A flight cancellation may cancel the bus, and airport departure can change with the aircraft arrival. Confirm large-bag capacity and payment for your own service. The terminal photograph was uploaded in 2020; its exact capture date is unconfirmed. It does not show the current bus stand, ticket machine or vehicle.

Common questions
Does the Matsue bus also use the Seoul service’s stand 7?
No. The checked Matsue timetable identifies airport stand 4 and JR Matsue stand 9. Separate these from airport stand 7 for the Seoul-linked Kaike service.
Does Suica on the machine mean I can tap onboard?
Ticket-machine purchase and onboard payment are separate. Follow the Matsue operator’s listed onboard cash, digital-ticket or credit-card contactless procedure.
Will the bus run if my flight is cancelled?
A cancellation can also cancel the bus. Check that service’s notice and another transport option.
