Miyako City and Miyazaki Station are different stops. Match your hotel or onward connection to platform 1. Direct Seagaia service uses a different platform and is listed for weekends and public holidays, so do not apply it to a weekday arrival.

Who this guide is for: Arrivals choosing Miyako City, Miyazaki Station or Seagaia
Match the last walk or transfer to Miyako City or Miyazaki Station at platform 1. Direct Seagaia plans first require checking the weekend/public-holiday condition at platform 4.
Compare at a glance

|---|---|---|
| Miyako City | Adult JPY 310; child JPY 160 | About 10–16 minutes |
| Miyazaki Station | Adult JPY 490; child JPY 250 | About 25–30 minutes |
| Direct Seagaia | Platform 4 | Listed for weekends/public holidays |
Choose your platform-1 destination
The operator lists airport-to-Miyako City fares of JPY 310 adult and JPY 160 child, compared with JPY 490 and JPY 250 to Miyazaki Station. Listed travel times are about 10–16 and 25–30 minutes respectively. Match the fare to the actual stop.
Start with your hotel or transfer
Check whether the hotel or onward connection is near Miyako City or Miyazaki Station rather than relying on a similar-looking name. Times vary with traffic and routing. The operator lists no return ticket for these city journeys.
Other platforms serve other areas
Platform 2 serves Nichinan/Obi, platform 3 serves Miyakonojo via the expressway, and platform 4 serves Seagaia. The direct Seagaia bus is listed for Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays. Do not rely on it for a weekday arrival; confirm the destination before boarding.
Read the current timetable symbols
The airport timetable notes a revision from 1 October 2026 and uses symbols for operating days and routing. Check the actual date rather than assuming every listed city departure runs daily. This guide deliberately does not fix individual departure times.
Transport IC is different from a bank card
The operator FAQ lists transport IC cards such as nimoca, Suica and PASMO. Its bank-card answer covers only some airport routes and is marked as of April 2025. Do not assume every vehicle accepts contactless bank cards; check balance and the vehicle notice.
If a seat matters
The boarding guide warns that full buses may involve standing; expressway services to Miyakonojo do not permit standing. Treat the city bus as a service without a guaranteed reserved seat. The 2017 photograph shows an airport boarding lounge, not a bus stop or bus interior.

Common questions
Does every listed departure run daily?
Use the official timetable for your actual date; flight schedules, operating days and revisions matter.
