Use the limousine for Tokushima Station and check a separate local bus for Naruto. IC or contactless payment can avoid the ticket-machine queue, but the airport instructs passengers needing a receipt to buy from the machine.

Who this guide is for: Arrivals choosing between Tokushima Station and the Naruto area
Choose the JPY 800 station limousine or a separate Naruto local bus first. Then decide between direct IC boarding and a ticket-machine purchase for a receipt.
Compare at a glance
| Option | Best fit | Check before booking |
|---|---|---|
| Station limousine | Adult JPY 800; schoolchild JPY 400 | About 30 minutes; no reservation |
| IC/contactless | Airport notice dated May 2026 | Use ticket machine if receipt needed |
| Naruto area | Separate local bus | Check route and destination |
No reservation does not guarantee a seat
The operator lists adult one-way fare to Tokushima Station at JPY 800 and travel time around 30 minutes, subject to traffic. Reservations are not required, but full buses may require the next service or a taxi.
Use the current IC-card notice
The airport notice of 18 May 2026 lists ten interoperable Japanese transport IC cards, including ICOCA, plus contactless bank-card payment for limousine and local buses. Eligible users can go directly to the stop without buying a paper ticket. Check supported brands and the reader on site.
Choose the machine when you need a receipt
That airport notice specifically instructs passengers needing a receipt to buy a ticket from the machine. A card statement should not be assumed equivalent to a facility-issued receipt. Decide before boarding if claiming expenses.
Naruto uses a different bus
The operator FAQ distinguishes the station limousine from local buses toward Naruto. For the Otsuka Museum of Art, check the Naruto Park service and its museum stop; a detour via Tokushima Station is not automatically the right choice.
Allow for flight changes and luggage limits
Airport departures connect with arriving flights and may leave later after a delay, while cancelled flights can change connecting buses. The operator FAQ gives basic luggage limits of 10 kg total, 0.3 cubic metres and one metre in length. Ask ahead about oversized or unusual items.
Returning from the station
The operator FAQ lists stop 15 for the airport at Tokushima Station. Airport-bound limousine stops do not allow intermediate drop-offs. The 2019 exterior photograph is not a current boarding-stop or vehicle diagram.
